Our Friends
Since launching Biyoni in 2003, we have built good relationships with other local businesses and organisations. Here is a list
AB10
If you like to dress to impress and love on trend clothing, this is the place to visit for some of the top designer brands. Now located in both the academy and trinity shopping centres, AB10 is definitely one of our favourite places to shop. We had a great time recently when we were asked to provide the hairstyling for their most recent fashion show at the Galleria.
Beauty@Home
For a full range of professional beauty services, we recommend Beauty@Home. Based in a quiet residential area in Aberdeen, Susan's luxury home salon provides a comfortable and relaxing environment where you unwind with one of her top of the range treatments. She's so good even the boys go! Susan also does beautiful wedding makeup and nails. To book an appointment call Susan on 07973 170 036 or visit her website at www.beauty-athome.co.uk.
Coco Violet
For all you glamorous gals out there, this is definitely a shopping stop you need to make. At Coco Violet you'll find everything from the most gorgeous vintage style frocks to the most stunning shoes and funky accessories. This great shop is owned by great friend and faithful client, Lou Couper, our most fashionable client!
Concept
From kick ass suits to baggy’s and retro tees, this is one of Aberdeen’s top menswear stores, with the coolest of tunes to boot. A great one for the guys.
GFG Flowers
Many of you will have seen Gail’s fantastic flower arrangements in the salon reception. Now located on Rosemount Viaduct, GFG Flowers is the place to go for great floral displays, stunning bouquets, handmade greeting cards and beautiful canvases. We guarantee that you'll be greeted with a big smile and leave with a lasting impression!
Kilau
We first met Craig and Eion through the Business Gateway, when we were all just young lads with hopes and dreams! They were just about to launch their new coffee shop in the city centre, and, as we all love a decent coffee, we became great friends! Kilau is an independent coffee shop and contemporary art house situated on Little Belmont Street. As well as serving some of the best crepes and coffee in all the land, they offer a relaxed atmosphere, where you can enjoy a good book, surf the net, have a game of chess or just enjoy the chilled out music. We love these guys and definitely recommend that you drop by.
Macmillan Cancer Relief
Another charity that we feel passionate about supporting is Macmillan. This organisation helps to improve the lives of people affected by cancer by offering practical, medical, emotional and financial support, as well as campaigning for better cancer care. Biyoni are regularly involved in Macmillan charity events and hope to be involved in more fundraising events in the future. If you are interested in getting involved or making a donation, visit www.macmillan.org.uk.
Retrospect
Love a bit of vintage glamour? This shop has everything from 50s tea dresses to 70s jumpsuits with a few cool accessories thrown in. The Biyoni girls love this shop as the staff are a great laugh and it’s a little bit of London fashion on our doorstep. You can find this little gem on John Street (behind John Lewis).
Steelcube
Dedicated to enhancing urban living. If you like to shop for the best of the best in electronics and homeware, Steelcube is the place to shop. Whether you're looking to kit out your living room or office, you'll love browsing their selection of top of the range audio/visual systems, gadgets and furniture. Shop online at www.steelcube.com.
Sue Ryder Care
Biyoni have been supporters of Sue Ryder for a number of years now, taking part in a number of fund-raising events to raise money for their worthwhile cause. Sue Ryder specialises in palliative care, neurological care and homecare, and is dedicated to helping people achieve independence and to providing support wherever and whenever they need it. If you would like to find out about what you can do to help, visit their website at www.suerydercare.org or email info@suerydercare.org.
The Bread Maker
The bread maker is an in-house bakery and coffee bar offering adults with learning disabilities, meaningful work and training. The charity, Aberdeen Day Project Ltd, was established in 2000 and is based in Rosemount Viaduct. All of their sandwiches, soup and confectionery are made freshly on the premises, and are always delicious. A regular lunch spot for the Biyoni crew!
TREND
TREND magazine is the only guide to a modern life in Aberdeen. Whether you're interested in the latest fashion, hair and beauty, property or motoring news, there is something there for everyone. Biyoni feel privileged to have been asked by the Trend team to provide the hairstyling for all their fashion feature articles!
